It’s a very short, one-scene episode.  10 minutes.  Teency, I know.

I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to everyone who’s been visiting my sponsors’ pages and using my promo codes.  The money Piggy Moto has been earning is keeping the podcast online; it’s paying for itself, and I can’t thank you all enough for that.  Also, I just wanna say thanks to you all for the e-mails, well wishes and messages you’ve been sending on Twitter and Facebook.  It really is great to hear from you – to hear what I’m doing well and what I could be doing better.  The letters mean a ton to me, so thanks a billion and keep them coming!

I see that folks have been downloading the fliers, too (big and small).  Man that’s just awesome!  Makes me wanna dust off the drawing table and doodle some more.  I know I’ve been asked several times for more drawings and maps and recipes.  *hiding*  I’m sorry!  I’m sorry!  I’ll do better! heh heh heh

Once again, please, please, please, head over to Podcast Alley and iTunes and give Piggy Moto a vote and nice comment! If you’d like, feel free to follow me on Twitter or Facebook, as I’ll be posting periodic updates there.

Where are those piggies?!

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Well, they have been crazy busy!  I am sitting here right now with Chris, working on the extended “Porcine Romance in A-flat Minor”.  I expect that tonight we will finish it, and then ship it off to my musical buddy in Scotland, who will be rendering it into its final format.  This means that (with luck) episode 24 will be ready to drop early this weekend, and it will feature the HOTTEST Piggy Moto track to date!  Now, I MIGHT get a little wacky and put the WHOLE song together.. singing and all.  I’d re-work the vocal track and clean up its levels a bit, add it to the instrumental piece, and then post that as a podcast episode episode in and of itself (as a special bonus for subscribers).  But, if I’m gonna do that, I’m gonna need to know you’re out there reading this.

So, after you read this, drop in with a reply, or zap me an e-mail.

Also, Here’s a shout out to you folks with access to public cork boards.  Check out the Piggy Moto Fliers.  Download them, print them out (you’ll need to chop them in half, but hey, 2 adverts for the price of one, right?) and then post them wherever people might appreciate an adult-friendly podcast novel about musical swine.  Just don’t go posting these where people might think Piggy Moto is a children’s story.  I’d hate for parents’ ears to bleed at the first reference to pr*stitutes or h*mos*xuality, or the first time someone drops the “F” bomb!

Also, Help the piggies stay online!  Mevio has lined me up with several sponsors, who pay me for click-throughs and commissions.  I have special offer codes for costumes, web-hosting, and even custom art and printing.  There is also a Piggy Moto store where you can get your PM merchandise, over at Zazzle.Com.  Couple that with my discount code, and you’ll be helping the pigs out twice over.

So, that’s it for now.  Back to post production with me!

Episode Twenty-three: Usurper’s Blade

OOh geez!  What a past few weeks!!  Chris and I put together another tune for this episode, and I think this one is ESPECIALLY fun.  Chris had this to say about the song:

[Composing the lullaby] was a challenging combination of things to have to do, but it really got our creativity flowing. It was so much hard work, and meant several long days and late nights rubbing our eyes in front of computer and keyboard. But when everything finally came together, it was so exciting to hear! I love the way it works alongside the narration; it really turned out better than I’d ever have expected.”

We are already rolling ideas around for the next several songs we need to put together, including a solo version of the lullaby (why would we EVER need that, HHhhmmmmmmmMMMMMM?)

One Year, Y’all!

Piggy Moto, All Star Boar Band, Episode Twenty-two.

I hope everyone had a great Labor day.  This is the official one-year episode, and I have a great guest voice for you.  Yup, the one and only Mur Lafferty, the Godmother of podcast noveling,  has lent me her talent for this episode.  When you are done listening, pop over to her site (if you haven’t already) and check out her Heaven series of podcast novels.  They are fantastic, and are some of the novels that got me into podcast novelling to begin with.

My weekend was pretty insane (as usual).  My sweety and I headed down to Houston to see my family, and while we were there, I got some water dumped into the laptop by my 4 1/2 yo niece.  HEEE!  She’s a hoot, and nothing got destroyed, but it was still a scare.

Next episode will e rather late, as I have to print out scripts and get with all my actors to do recording.  So, There will probably not be an episode until the middle of the month or so at the absolute earliest.  But, I am doing my best to get it out. :)

Aff the cuff composed this week’s closing music.  Mevio’s Podsafe Music Network has really been an invaluable resource lately!

Episode Twenty-one: Bluff

So, here’s a short episode for you.  The piggies need a break occasionally, too.  It was actually quite nice to have a quick ep (only about 6 hours post production)  I would’ve dropped it yesterday, but there were some issues with the sound effects that i wanted to fix.

This has been a crazy week!  work’s been picking up at the day job, so that means more to do there and a little bit more pay.  *and* I started a new manuscript.  now, this one is not part of the Piggy Moto story line.  in fact, it’s not even in the same story world.  It’s a fantasy thriller sort of story, and I’m making pretty good progress so far.  if you’d like, feel free to follow me on Twitter or Facebook, as I’ll be posting periodic updates there.

Guardian Mind Mix composed this week’s closing music.  Mevio’s Podsafe Music Network has really been an invaluable resource lately!

Hefty complex episode with a pretty sizable cast, this one!

How about that closing music?!  That’s the Blaggards on MEVIO’s Podsafe Music Network.  This was one of my favorite songs for as long as I can remember, and the Blaggards do a great version of it.  So, check them out when you get a chance.
